Eddie Fortune is Liverpool's best gay comic described as a comedic tornado, talking about the woes of dating, work life and the need to stay in shape, he occasionally mistakes himself as a Julia Roberts from Pretty Woman. His act can be a gag a second or an existential monologue, poem or song. Displaying a contradictory self deprecating confidence, and heckling the audience with beautiful compliments.
Eddie's debut comedy hour Gloryhole was one of the best selling shows of Liverpool Comedy Festival in 2017, as was his second 5 star rated show Karen, which he performed in 2019 at Liverpool's famous Royal Court. In the summer of 2018, he was cast in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival's AAA stand up show at the Gilded Balloon to critical acclaim.
Eddie is also a producer of LGBT theatre and the writer of Elastic Bridge.
In 2021, it was announced that Eddie would be opening as tour support for Crissy Rock (star of ITV's hit comedy series Benidorm).
